Psalm 24: The Open Door

Verse 7: "Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in."

The door that seemed closed forever has been opened. It was a door without a handle. Did the door open itself and push away? Or did someone else open it? This door is opened by those with pure hearts, righteous actions, and no regard for worthless things. That's why this door has been closed for so long. It's called the everlasting door.

David felt that the King of glory had opened this door. David sang praises. He praised that everything in this world, even the things that fill it, belongs to Yahweh. Don't listen to the reasoning of old doors that say "one more thing." Instead, interpret David's praise lyrics as saying that even the things that fill the things that make them forever closed belong to Yahweh.
