Galatians 6: The Law of Christ

Verse 2: Carry each other's burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.

There is a korean proverb, “It is easier to lift it together even though it is one piece of paper.” In other words, “Two heads are better than one." It means that even simple tasks become much easier when people cooperate. How much does a sheet of paper weigh? Even someone with little strength can easily lift it. The weight is so insignificant that it's barely worth mentioning. And yet, working together can make even such a light task much easier.

However, as we go through life, there are times when even a task as light as lifting a sheet of paper can feel overwhelming. There are times when it feels like a thousand pounds, when even taking a breath feels like a burden. People may dismiss or ridicule those who struggle with such seemingly light tasks, but for the person experiencing it, it can be incredibly difficult.

Instead of dismissing or ridiculing, let us offer genuine comfort and help to those who struggle with even the lightest of burdens. Let us embrace those who lack the strength to carry even a sheet of paper. This is the way to fulfill the law of Christ.

Lord, help us to be people who share each other's burdens! Enable us to fulfill the law of Christ! Holy Spirit, guide us in truth!
