psalm 54: Before God’s Presence
"They do not put God in their thoughts." (Psalm 54:3b)
David faced another crisis due to the people of Ziph. He called them "those who do not put God in their thoughts." Even Christians sometimes lie or harm others for their own benefit and preservation of life. They may commit an act that appears justifiable on the surface, but inside it is full of injustice.
However, we must never forget that we must be aware of God's existence even when we struggle with inner conflicts and pursue our own interests to do wrong. Because God is present between us and others. If it is between me and God, God can accept any wrongdoing. However, when it comes to wrongs that occur between me and others, even God's handling of them is not easy. Christians already know the result of God's handling. They presented their son, Jesus, as a representative for themselves and others. Christians cannot express precisely the result of God's decision, but can only say "God's love."
