Psalm 65: God’s Justice

God our Savior, the Lord, who is the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas, has established justice by his wonderful deeds. (Psalm 65:5)

In this psalm, God’s natural control ability is both enormous and detailed. If you think David praised God after seeing a huge natural phenomenon, you have only seen one aspect of his praise. He saw God’s power in ‘salvation.’ Verse 5 is the evidence. He did not find God’s justice in his own salvation. Rather, he saw God’s justice in the ability to make all people at the ends of the earth and the farthest seas rely on the Lord. David’s praise is deep and wide. Such a vision is the unique characteristic of his prayer and praise.
