Psalm 129: Furrows on the Poet's Back

Verse 3:

They have plowed my back like a farmer plows a field, making long furrows there.

The enemies left deep pain and wounds on the poet. They always lurked behind him. They made furrows on the poet's back. This happened several times and began when the poet was young. The pain the poet endured was intense, and before the pain could fade, another plowing of pain left deep marks on his back. The poet tells us that Yahweh has broken the yoke that the wicked had placed upon him. It means that Yahweh intervened between the poet and his enemies. What would Yahweh think when he sees the wounds of persecution carved on the poet's back? What would Yahweh think when he sees the blood-stained hands of those who opposed the poet? May Yahweh reset the relationship between the poet and his adversaries!
