Nehemiah Chapter 6 (#2): The Final Victor

Nehemiah Chapter 6 (#2)
The Final Victor

15. So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of Elul, in fifty-two days.
16. When all our enemies heard about this, all the surrounding nations were afraid and lost their self-confidence, because they realized that this work had been done with the help of our God.

◇ The wall construction was completed in just fifty-two days. Externally, there was resistance and threats from adversaries, and internally, there were issues of famine and division that needed to be addressed. Despite these difficulties, everyone from Governor Nehemiah to the elders, local nobles, and the people united as one in heart and body, working tirelessly day and night, resulting in this accomplishment.

The unity of Nehemiah and the people in overcoming such hardships and completing the wall reconstruction was due to their faith in God. Despite any interference or difficulties, their steadfast faith was met with God's response.

God never abandons those who trust, rely on, and obey Him. To those who seek to fulfill God's will, the Lord, who holds the authority of heaven and earth, will make them fruitful by His power.

Even after the wall was completed, Tobiah and the adversaries were still colluding and looking for opportunities. They were disheartened but did not give up. Satan tries to bring us down until the very end. For those who seek to accomplish God's good will and justice, there will always be troublemakers like Tobiah and Sanballat. We must not be deceived or subdued by these disruptors. The Lord, who is good and righteous, is with us. The ultimate victor is the one who trusts and relies on the Lord.

♧ God, may I walk with You today, the good and righteous Lord, and be victorious. Holy Spirit, lead me in truth. Amen.
